Day 20: Vegas Baby

We actuallly arrived in Vegas last night.... approximately 2 am. We thought we would find lodging outside the city and decided to keep on driving. Vegas truly is the city that doesn't sleep. Our hotel/casino is wild.. there are soooooo many people, sounds, restaurants, shops... the circus, magic shows... and carnival areas... not to mention amusement park...

Dane has been in heaven... it's like one big HUGE Chuck E Cheese.. with the tickets and everything. We honestly have not made it outside of the hotel!!!

Carsten came to visit us this evening and we have plans to meet up with him tomorrow. We brought him to the Midway to play games... And Dane almost has enough tickets for the HUGE Circus, Circus teddy bear he wants! I'm sure he will have them by the time we leave....

Jen, Jay, Logan, and Jonas will also be arriving tomorrow. Dane is excited about playing with Logan! and swimming together of course!

Well.. off to get some sleep in the city that never sleeps!

! Today's adventure was the Vandusen Botanical Garden.  Dane got us through the maze. We saw a lot of birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. In addition to ducks, fish, and a coyote.  After the gardens we checked out a few anime shops and then headed to our hotel to relax before our travel home tomorrow.

Cruisin' to Alaska & Visiting Vancouver- Day 2

(not our cruise ship)  Hello Vancouver!  (Our view from our hotel last night) We slept in this morning. After yesterday's long day of travel and the time change for us, today was a much needed day to take it easy. We booked this "extra day" as a buffer to make sure we made it here in time if there were any travel snaffoos. Luckily, we mad eit here on time with no issues!  Then we made our way into the city to the Pan Pacific Hotel.  Our view here is a little bit different ;). Our conference will kick off here tomorrow before we board the ship. We are on the 20th floor and the view is gorgeous!  We spent the afternoon wandering around in Vancouver. Day 1

Well... .we made it to Minnesota. Today was mostly a day of driving. We drove south through Wisconsin and west to Bloomington. Dane had fun signaling the truckers to honk, and we managed to get 8 trucks to respond. A good portion of the trip I sat in the back with Dane, so with our tinted windows, it was difficult for them to see our signals. We were happy to pass through Wisconsin, as Dane quickly realized that it continually smells of something as we passed all of the farms.... Allan was quite intrigued by the landscape, rolling hills and lots of silos....... (you can connect the dots...) We arrived into Minnesota a bit later than planned, but that was okay. We checked into our hotel and then we were off to the Mall of America.... We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, and we sat in the primate section... The random calls of the gorillas and the chimps filled the air... One was swinging above us.... Dane was quite certain he/she was trying to poop in our food. We were on constant guar...
