Updating.. and Home

So... I still have some uploading of photos to do. I hope to make that happen tomorrow. I'm also going through and separating the 22oo photos that are uploaded into smaller albums so that they are easier to access.. and putting the link with each day's post with the photos from that day. I finished the first 4 days today and I will complete the rest as I have time.

I hope you enjoy the blog as much as we enjoyed our trip. It was truly amazing. Everyone asks us what our favorite part of the trip was.. or our favorite place.. and for me, its so hard to choose. There are definitely places we explored on this trip that we will someday return to. It was an amazing 4 weeks.

I know Dane tells people that his favorite place was Circus, Circus in Las Vegas. He loved all of the games, and I won't forget his surprised 4 letter utterance when we arrived in Vegas at 2 am.. and saw all of the lights in total disbelief and amazement. Prior to arriving in Las Vegas, his favorite stop was at the Museum of Natural History in the Black Hills were he had the opportunity to explore the dinosaur fossils.

Each day was an adventure.. and I don't think a single day went by where we weren't happy to be in the moment and exploring the place we were in. I will admit not all of the places were equally as exciting for each of us, but overall, it was AMAZING!

I know personally, I would love to do some more exploring in South Dakota, Oregon.. and I'd love to go back to Yellowstone... And of course, there are a ton of places on the map that we did not have time to explore, people we did not have time to visit.. etc.. So, I'm sure we will be on the road again soon!

! Today's adventure was the Vandusen Botanical Garden.  Dane got us through the maze. We saw a lot of birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. In addition to ducks, fish, and a coyote.  After the gardens we checked out a few anime shops and then headed to our hotel to relax before our travel home tomorrow.

Cruisin' to Alaska & Visiting Vancouver- Day 2

(not our cruise ship)  Hello Vancouver!  (Our view from our hotel last night) We slept in this morning. After yesterday's long day of travel and the time change for us, today was a much needed day to take it easy. We booked this "extra day" as a buffer to make sure we made it here in time if there were any travel snaffoos. Luckily, we mad eit here on time with no issues!  Then we made our way into the city to the Pan Pacific Hotel.  Our view here is a little bit different ;). Our conference will kick off here tomorrow before we board the ship. We are on the 20th floor and the view is gorgeous!  We spent the afternoon wandering around in Vancouver. Day 1

Well... .we made it to Minnesota. Today was mostly a day of driving. We drove south through Wisconsin and west to Bloomington. Dane had fun signaling the truckers to honk, and we managed to get 8 trucks to respond. A good portion of the trip I sat in the back with Dane, so with our tinted windows, it was difficult for them to see our signals. We were happy to pass through Wisconsin, as Dane quickly realized that it continually smells of something as we passed all of the farms.... Allan was quite intrigued by the landscape, rolling hills and lots of silos....... (you can connect the dots...) We arrived into Minnesota a bit later than planned, but that was okay. We checked into our hotel and then we were off to the Mall of America.... We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, and we sat in the primate section... The random calls of the gorillas and the chimps filled the air... One was swinging above us.... Dane was quite certain he/she was trying to poop in our food. We were on constant guar...
