On the Hunt For Dinosaurs Once Again! Day 3

We started our morning in Bismarck, North Dakota with a little bit of rain. We decided to take it slow this morning and start our adventures a bit later. After a quick stop for groceries, we were on the road.
Our first stop was in New Salem, North Dakota to see Salem Sue.

Then, back into the Suburban and on to Dickinson, North Dakota to the Badland's Dinosaur Museum. Although we have visited this museum multiple times, it is still worth a stop!

We grabbed a quick lunch in the parking lot, and then made our way to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. First, we stopped at the Painted Canyon. (Photos do not do this place justice).

We set out on the Painted Canyon Trail....  It was pretty hot for hiking, but we made it!

After our hike, we ventured on to the Southern part of the park. Part of the road was under construction, so we were only able to drive part of the wildlife loop. We saw a lot of prairie dogs, 2 bison, and a pronghorn.

We made it back to the visitor's center just under the wire- they were just about to close, but we had just enough time to be sworn in as junior rangers.

After a short drive, we arrived at our hotel in Glendive and found a fabulous diner to eat at. Tomorrow, we dig for dinosaurs!
