Cruisin' to Alaska & Visiting Vancouver- Day 8

google photos album when we have better internet. Today started with another lecture and then a full day of adventures in Ketchikan.
We took a short stroll around town before hopping on a Duck. If you are not familiar with Duck tours, the "duck" is amphibious. It is both a motor/street vehicle and a water vehicle/boat.
Our duck was the Maximum Fisher. We had a great tour through the city and a float in the harbor. We had high hopes for some more wild life in the water, but unfortunately we did not see any.
We saw a ton of bald eagles in town and later at the rain forest sanctuary.

In town, we went to Creek Street and visited Ray Troll's gallery. Dane was excited to purchase the fossil books he illustrated. (Thanks Gordon and Jessi for the recommendation).
We were fortunate to see some harbor seals in the creek.
Then we met back up with the Science at Sea crew and took a tour of the Rain Forest Sanctuary.

We did not see a bear, but we saw bear claw marks on some of the trees.
We saw a couple of salmon in the river, oodles of bald eagles and a few banana slugs.
There will be oodles of additional photos in our google photos album when we have better internet.
