Family Roadtrip! The One Where They Celebrate 25 Years! Day 3

We slept in a little bit at our hotel this morning and then made our way to the Columbus Zoo. It had been over a decade since we were last there and ended up spending a lot more time there than expected.

Red Panda
My favorite spot was the Manatee exhibit, Dane and Allan agreed.

Although, the 43 acres they have for the African Savannah was pretty cool too.

There were a lot of really great habitats and animals to visit in addition to some dinosaurs!

By the time we left the zoo, we were going to be too late to get our fossil digging permit for Caesar Creek State Park. I wasn't really up for missing out on 2 fossil adventures in a row,  so I called to see if there was somewhere besides the visitor's center to get our fossil permit and the nice gentleman on the phone was able to process our permit over the phone!

I am so glad that I called! We all agree that we will have to come back here for more hunting when we have more time and it is a bit cooler!
