Road Trip! The One Where They Hunt Dinosaurs!!! Day 6

We started our morning in Rock Springs and drove to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Thermopolis.

We spent time exploring the musuem and we opted to take the dig site tour as well.  The collection was pretty awesome, but the lighting made some of the photos challenging, I guess that means you just have to go and check it out for yourself! The museum has a lot of acreage of the Morrison formation and the paleontologist who gave us the tour told us that they have so much more to explore, but they are short staffed. I think the boys are considering spending some time in Thermopolis ;). 

Then, we continued north to Cody, Wyoming for the night. 
The boys were ready to relax and hung out at our cabin while Allan and I went into town to eat and explore. 
We had dinner at the Irma and enjoyed walking downtown checking out the shops.. 

The sunset from our cabin was AMAZING... and so was eve early night sky...

! Today's adventure was the Vandusen Botanical Garden.  Dane got us through the maze. We saw a lot of birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. In addition to ducks, fish, and a coyote.  After the gardens we checked out a few anime shops and then headed to our hotel to relax before our travel home tomorrow.

Cruisin' to Alaska & Visiting Vancouver- Day 2

(not our cruise ship)  Hello Vancouver!  (Our view from our hotel last night) We slept in this morning. After yesterday's long day of travel and the time change for us, today was a much needed day to take it easy. We booked this "extra day" as a buffer to make sure we made it here in time if there were any travel snaffoos. Luckily, we mad eit here on time with no issues!  Then we made our way into the city to the Pan Pacific Hotel.  Our view here is a little bit different ;). Our conference will kick off here tomorrow before we board the ship. We are on the 20th floor and the view is gorgeous!  We spent the afternoon wandering around in Vancouver. Day 1

Well... .we made it to Minnesota. Today was mostly a day of driving. We drove south through Wisconsin and west to Bloomington. Dane had fun signaling the truckers to honk, and we managed to get 8 trucks to respond. A good portion of the trip I sat in the back with Dane, so with our tinted windows, it was difficult for them to see our signals. We were happy to pass through Wisconsin, as Dane quickly realized that it continually smells of something as we passed all of the farms.... Allan was quite intrigued by the landscape, rolling hills and lots of silos....... (you can connect the dots...) We arrived into Minnesota a bit later than planned, but that was okay. We checked into our hotel and then we were off to the Mall of America.... We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, and we sat in the primate section... The random calls of the gorillas and the chimps filled the air... One was swinging above us.... Dane was quite certain he/she was trying to poop in our food. We were on constant guar...
